Founder perspective

Work follows life.

Fufild began with a human truth: people do not become valuable when they enter the workplace. They bring their value, judgment, and discretionary effort with them.

Care starts with choice.

Co-founder Dan Hetrick shares the thinking behind Fufild: practical support that recognizes employees as people, with services they can choose for their own lives.

“Work does not create the human. The human shows up and creates the work.”

That belief shapes Fufild’s Care-First model: support the life a person is already living, make help usable in the present, and create the conditions where contribution can follow.

The operating belief

The most profitable kind of employee effort cannot be demanded.

Discretionary effort grows from trust, reciprocity, and the feeling that an employer recognizes the whole person. Fufild makes that recognition practical through monthly access to real services employees can choose and use.

This is not a claim that a benefit creates loyalty on command. It is a design principle: care creates better conditions for people to contribute freely.
